My name is Carlos and I thank God for my salvation! I was a mess before I gave my life to Jesus --
I didn't care about anyone or anything as long as I got what I wanted. From the age of 9 I was experimenting with drugs -- you name, I did it. By 19 I was looking at a 69 year sentence for trying to cut my pregnant girlfriend's throat for tellling me to get a job and be a man! That still didn't stop me from living my self-serving life. I married my girlfriend, but continued to drink more, do more drugs and was in and out of prision or jail. My life was crazy, upside down and backwards. My marriage was falling apart along with my 3 kid's lives.
Galatians 5:19-21 (New Living Translation) When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
By the age of 32 I had no where to turn and God began drawing on my heart.
Romans 10:9 (New Living Translation) If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
After I got saved, God put me in my right mind, delivered me from drugs and alcohol and restored my marriage. I'm now serving God happily with my wife and 3 kids!
I thank God everday for his love, grace and mercy that He has shown on my life!!
